WHAT WE DO

OUR SERVICES

Rescue freedom

To experience true hope and avoid re-victimization, women need safe housing, dignifying work, and an effective support system. The Harbor’s restoration program provides the support and time needed to move forward towards a sustainable and independent future.

24/7 PROGRAM

THE HARBOR

Since 2017, The Harbor provides safe housing for up to 10 residents. Through strengths-based, trauma-informed care, residents access resources and support to meet their individual needs and goals. Our team provides a 24/7 presence to our residents, along with on-site classes, therapy groups, and life skills development.

CLASSES + THERAPY

THE SURVIVOR CENTER

In 2022, North Star Initiative’s community funded and built the Survivor Center, expanding office and classroom space. With its opening, survivors enjoy dedicated living space at the Harbor while experiencing education, fitness classes, group therapy, and other programs in the Survivor Center.

AWARENESS + ADVOCACY

Education

Raising awareness and providing advocacy through education is essential to support survivors, prevent trafficking, and create a safer future. We serve our community by presenting educational seminars to churches, civic organizations, schools, and business associations. Presentations can be customized based on the setting, audience, needs of your organization, and specific questions you may have. Fill out the form to tell us more about your interests or event, and we will work with you to coordinate the details. By learning the facts about trafficking, we can coordinate our efforts to end it
