COVER US IN PRAYER
PRAYER + PRAISES
The power of prayer is evident here at North Star Initiative, so we invite you to stand with us as one of our many prayer warriors. Daily you may cover our organization, staff, and residents in prayers, prayers for guidance, direction, healing, and protection. Below you will find more specific prayers for our current season at NSI.
January Prayer Requests:
That we connect with the next residents that God intends to bring to North Star. Our desire is to welcome in 3 more residents before the end of the month.
That we are able to close the last staff gap (part-time coach on the weekends).
For the upcoming panel event on January 28—that we effectively serve our community with effective information, that we represent Christ winsomely, and that we provide a model of kingdom-shaped collaboration that glorifies God.
For our new staff quickly to grasp their role at NSI as they go through the onboarding process and integrate with the team.
For residents who are wrestling through layers of healing and feeling challenged to press on.
For a resident who recently left our program to continue feeling the Father's steadfast, loyal love pursuing her. That she stays in touch and finds a safe place to continue healing and growing.
For tenacity in the residents to remain committed to their healing plans.
For volunteers from the community to facilitate groups for residents this year--specifically, an occupational therapist, nutritionist, and wellness instructor.
For God's provision for us in a new year.
For our entire team to be energized with fresh joy, peace and vision as we move into a new year.
That we are able effectively to being offering emergency placement to women in need through collaborations with law enforcement agencies and the task forces.
January Praises:
A new Senior Case Manager joined North Star at the beginning of the month!
Steadfastness in residents through a challenging holiday season.
Safety as we navigated the stress of the holidays.
God's generous provision through so many friends at the end of the year and resources to begin a new year with anticipation of what He is going to do.
A warm response from the community to Florissant Collective, North Star's new social enterprise, and that all our residents are involved.
