non profit advocate #3

You try to call the number you were given one last time. On the fourth ring you start to hang up, discouraged, but then you hear a woman’s voice. It is warm and safe. She talks to you for a very long time. She tells you about the organization and invites you to come visit. It is early in the day, so you decide to go. When you arrive, you see a nice clean facility. The staff is very nice. You get to meet the woman that you spoke with on the phone. You talk to her for what seems to be hours. You are worn down and begin pouring out your story. It feels so wonderful to have someone finally hear you and understand you. The woman works with you to find a place to stay and a new job. You decide that this is the chance you have been waiting for and you take her up on the help. The organization provides many services for you and you finally feel safe. The opportunity comes to decide what your next steps are.

What happens next?

If you decide to continue working and find an apartment, go to Housing/Shelter #1.

If you decide that you want to accept a long-term, residential program referral from the organization, go to Restoration #1.
